Lies, lies, and more damn lies

Having watched all these videos I’m convinced of two things:
1) Sarah Palin is as dumb as a box of rocks: The woman doesn’t even speak in complete sentences. She’s like an ill-prepared 15 year old trying to impress the rotary club.

2) John McCain is a helluva company man: The only logical reason why he would have picked this woman who is so manifestly unqualified, and who he looks visibly embarrassed to be seen with in this clip, is that he’s throwing the election. Palin is bringing in a huge number of dollars and voters but not enough to win and I think someone in the Republican party was smart enough to figure out that whomever is elected in November is going to be a one-term wonder (really, you think everything that’s wrong can be “fixed” in four years? Especially since we’re such a patient people who hold such a long view (where is the damn sarcasm font when you need it)).

So, since I had so much trouble finding them: First Katie Couric’s interviews with Palin and one with her and McCain (who knew there was an actual journalist in there!); Second, check out Saturday Night Live (yes, in that order).
