This made me giggle, and it may be old news to some, but I had to share. Do the following:
- Go to www.google.com
- Type failure into the search box
- Select the “I’m feeling lucky” button
What do you suppose you’ll get? A randomly generated site, as with most things when you hit this button at google, yeah? Ah…not so. Do it first or read on.
What you get, every single time regardless of whether it’s your first time or you’ve done this before, and regardless of which browser you’re using, is George W. Bush’s official biography on the White House web site.
Don’t believe me? Try it. It’s always nice when the techies have a sense of humor.
Update: Apparently I’m behind the times: I’ve had a couple of people e-mail me and tell me there was an active blog-based campaign about two years ago to link ‘George Bush’, ‘Miserable Failure’,’http://www.whitehouse.gov’ How they did so much that it goes to the bio every single time I have no idea.
It gave me a chuckle, though, so it’s worth the sharing.
