The doyennes of manners will tell you that if you don’t have anything nice to say you shouldn’t say anything at all. In the age of “comment on this article” and citizen-publishers creating a blogsphere, that prescription for good behavior has pretty much fallen by the wayside.
I shot my mouth off over at blogactive.com a couple of weeks ago and Michael liked my comment so much he elevated me to the front page.
Go figure.
Sure it’s not nice to spew venom at a random person whom is minding their own business walking down the street, but when some crackpot stumbles out of their newspaper lined apartment(after tiring of having conversations with the toaster) and begins spewing half assed philosophies and works in a public forum (tv, art, politics, the internet, whatever) it’s open season for someone to dig up the clue by four and proceed to intellectually slap them upside the head. It does massive good for the op ed pages (and perhaps, given time) the gene pool.
Thanks for the props 🙂 to the very first professional webmaster I ever really met.
