Since now seemed as good a time as any, I’ve made a few site “improvements”
- Upgrading to MT 3.15
- Upgrading to Blacklist 2.04b
Comments are still a bit messed up. I can’t figure out how to turn automatic comment moderation off or the comment pending template on. When you post a comment, trust me, it’s there, I just need to approve it before you’ll see it. Working on it as fast as I can but my damn feet are cold and I’m tired so it may be a couple of days before I get the kinks worked out.
We now return to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress.
One confused evening later…
You’d think the upgrade package for MT would install the default templates, or at least ask you if you want to overwrite your old templates.
You’d also think that upgrading MT Blacklist would tell the old version of blacklist to take a hike.
Sadly, no.
So…comments are still on forced moderation, and I’m still getting double mailings on comments from ver 1.x of MT blacklist, plus, I’m stuck with this icky default template for at least a week.
Not fun. OK…lots of fun in a geeky, “no, really, I got this tan from my CRT” sort of way.
Two confused evenings and one very slack day at work later…
Irony: Movable type is a great, database driven program that makes use of CSS to do a lot of things. It’s a modern tool where all the CSS skins want to plunk your content in the middle 700px of the screen. Um…liquidity? It’s a concept.
Wow your site upgrades are neat. it’s really different, like the layout it’s new but not too different to where i feel like i can’t find everything. kudos on the upgrade 🙂 thank you for keep the site updated and intersting reading your entries is highlight of my day.

Thanks, Larin! I’m still working out the kinks but the new look and layout are starting to grow on me.
